The hotel is within walking distance of the Staples Center (and lots of restaurants), which is why we booked the room. Its surrounding neighborhood is located in a decent area of la; we did not feel unsafe walking back to our...

The staff were very friendly.
The first room was filthy, the carpets were stained and the bathroom was full of "crickets". The microwave was non-existent and the fridge was taped together. Next day asked for a room without bugs. The second room was much better, hardwood floors, no "crickets", mircowave and fridge seemed new. Hotel is in a very sketchy area of la. It was very noisy. The pool was dirty so we couldn't use it and there were no chairs around the pool so we couldn't even sit outside around it. When we checked in, we were given the remote to the tv to take back to our room. The air conditioning units in both rooms were not sealed so easy access for bugs to enter the room through the wall. We were supposed to stay 4 nights but we checked out after 2 nights and moved to the Comfort Inn (100 times better) down the street for only $10 more.

The staff was ok and they are kind of friendly.
The staff is ok, but the comfort of the bed was worse, I have never had such rough matress like that. I was rolling from side to side ,I couldn't sleep all night. The bed is too noiesey and the mattress is like you are slepping on the floor. Breakfast is poor I mean very poor, the room is too small and no fridge, no iron, I mean very bad experiance........

The location was good and the price was right.
There were a lot of bugs on the walls, the floor wasn't clean, the towels were dirty, everything felt damp. For a value hotel/motel I prefer motel 6.
